This place is a hidden gem with simply some of the best wines I've had in some time. I don't like Merlot, in general, but the 2009 Merlot is not to be missed. Also noteworthy are the Granache and the White Granache wines. Aslo, Dexter is one of the most authentic and genuinely nice winery hosts/owners we have ever had the pleasure to meet. And yes, the views are wonderful. There is a great deck to sit and enjoy. A peaceful place to sit and enjoy some very nice wines

Came out from a 4 day camping trip needed pizza! Not like the pictures at all (Gardner Pizza look for yourself), ok taste. I assume it was the one woman working maybe had a busy day, could been better. Won't be back, and I generally love supporting food carts. ?

Had a fantastic time at the Lazy Z. It is amazing to see what the Herman family is doing with the property and we were so grateful to be able to stay and experience the beautiful Oregon landscape.

I decided to try this local bar after checking into my room at the Smith Rock Resort. The menu featured burgers, salads, appetizers, steaks and pizzas. I did not find much that was appealing and ordered a pizza and an iced tea. After selecting my toppings, I waited about an half hour for my pizza. The server was friendly and gave updates on my order and refills on my iced tea. The pizza had a thin crust with a light amount of sauce with pineapple and Canadian Bacon. It was a solid pizza for a bar that serves a limited menu. The Sandbagger Salon is located on the Crooked River and a few minutes from the Smith Rock Resort.

We arrived around Saturday at 8:30 hoping for a nice relaxing dinner/drinks. The staff proceeded to clean up around us and even though the closing time was posted as 10:00, they continued to usher customers out and refused to seat more patrons. For a date night, not what we were expecting for sure!

Nothing but wonderful things to share about this place !! Charming as soon as you walk through the outdoor patio seating & welcoming as soon as you step inside. Chelsea greeted us warmly & professionally. You could tell she was genuinely happy to have us there. She asked about our wine preferences & we ended up going with the “Chelsea Flight” where she chooses which wines to taste considering our preferences. It was Gabby‘s second day at Merry Cellars & you couldn’t tell. She is such a pro! The most kind, funny, & sweet with each pour. We spent quite a bit of time there & ended up getting Chili Jam topped with Goat Cheese crisps I believe is what they were called & it was delicious!! The wine was obvious quality & the food - impressive. We will be back!

Update August 22, 2021 What GR8 comedians tonight. Loved all six of them. July 31, 2021 Wife & I came in to listen to the band. Had drinks dinner with a friend. July 21, 2021 Came in sat out side listening to band. Waitress came by twice never said anything to us. I went in ordered two drinks & asked for menus. Sat out side for another 30 minutes with no one took order. So went in To pay tab. Bar tender apologized and said it was her first week that the drinks were on him. June 29, 2021 Came in to cool off n have lunch n ice tea. June 22, 2021 Took dad out for late Father’s Day lunch. May 28, 2021 Came in to check out the band, have a few drinks & dinner. Came in to check out the band playing, drink some beers, & get a bite to eat. May 24, 2021 Came in for dinner n drinks. May 21, 2021 Came in for drinks & dinner with friends May 18, 2021 Came in for dinner & drinks. May 17, 2021 Came in for drinks & dinner. May 14, 2021 Came in for drinks dinner with friends. The Outsiders sounded GR8!!! April 23, 2021 Came in to listen to the bands, eat n drink with good friends. Put $20 in tabs won $240. April 17, 2021 Came in for lunch, drink, win money on pull tabs, & Liston to the band with friends. April 10, 2021 Came in to listen to the band, eat, drink with some friends. The band played music from The Beetles to Korm. April 6, 2021 Came in for dinner n drinks. Loss $20 in pull tabs ?. April 5, 2021 Stopped in for drinks, dinner, & to loose $20 on pull tabs. Lol March 27, 2021 Stopped in to have dinner & drinks with friends. February 10, 2021. Stopped in got a bite to eat won $78 on tabs. January 28, 2021. It’s been a while. Stopped in to get a bite, a few beers, & won $25 on tabs. October 31, 2020 Came into check out the costumes, get a couple drinks, & a bite to eat. October 26, 2020 Stopped in for a few drinks & munchies. October 3, 2020 Came in for my birthday. Enjoyed the food. But it took for ever to get drinks. We would of drank more but we got tired of waiting for some one to come. Back. So we left.
