Watching this ranch come back to life with implementing regenerative farming practices has been such a fun experience to watch. The Lazy Z Ranch has the most incredible views of the sisters, a laid back welcoming feel and incredible sunsets. The bees are well loved, the honey is perfection and the addition of the mead is something you won’t want to miss! John and Renee pour their heart and soul into regenerative farming practices and truly create such a warm and happy place to gather. It’s a gift to visit every time. The best mead we’ve ever had and such a special gathering place. We’ll be back and purchasing the Mead! We LOVE this place!

Just tasted the first batch of Lazy Z Meade. Delicious! Sweet, but not too sweet, and just dry enough to be super refreshing on a hot summer day. Highly recommend!! And the ranch itself is super convenient outside of Sisters, a quaint and family friendly town, and Bend, which has adventures for days. Check it out!

Had a fantastic time at the Lazy Z. It is amazing to see what the Herman family is doing with the property and we were so grateful to be able to stay and experience the beautiful Oregon landscape.

The views are unbeatable! What a fun location for a ranch and the owners are working hard to revitalize the original ranch while innovating ideas. We were able to visit with our toddler who loved the mountains (and can name several now) as much as the horses, goats and bees. The sunsets were amazing!
The owners are very responsive to needs of guests and we saw them quick to respond to potential local horse boarders, neighbors and other local farmers/ranchers. They are very intentional in becoming a part of the Sisters community by supporting local small businesses and non-profits with their regular shoutouts on social media. Can't wait to visit again!

John is a good man and sees a vision to bring a beautiful destination enhancement for Sisters and Central Oregon. All it takes is a seed and someone to shape the canvas for the seed to grow into an experience for the community. The ducks enjoyed the farm tonight and hope to someday move in to be shared with the community in all shapes and sizes.
