Came here for lunch on a cold wet day. Loved the atmosphere and ambiance. Had a cozy lodge feel. Kid friendly with board games. Solid burger and trout sandwich.

We are just leaving from a beautiful stay in a lakefront deluxe cabin. Highly recommend. We also appreciated the follow up from Kayla as we checked out. Beautiful setting even in the colder months.

Beware Booking Events
We're having family come into town for a bit of a reunion this spring and were looking around for a place to gather that showed off the beauty of CO. After having visited the lodge and loving the views of the lake, we tried to book an event there for a family gathering in the fall. Not anything big. 15-ish people for 4 hours. No other needs from them beyond the location.
Two major issues came up:
1) It took 3 MONTHS of back and forth with their event coordinator, Anne, to try to lock it in. It felt like she actively didn't want our business. Finally got a date and quote of $600 for 4 hours. After another couple of weeks of prodding her, was finally on the verge of getting the contract. I think. Except...
2) In that time, my fiance and I thought it'd be good to just say our vows during the family gathering since we'd have folks out here anyway. Save everyone a second trip. I mentioned this to Anne and she raised the quoted price from $600 to $2500 site fee, a mandatory $1500 minimum catering charge, and requirements to work with one of their dedicated coordinators which was even more $$$ on top of that. To reiterate, absolutely nothing had changed on our needs from the original quote except now they considered it a "wedding" which they apparently price gouge on.
Good thing there's no end of beautiful locations in the area for a family gathering.

We stayed here for 3 nights and I have to say we will not be coming back. At least not to the lodge. 370$ for a king bed room. The bed was so uncomfortable (great sheets and down blanket though) and for that high of a price I would expect some more amenities. No fitted sheet on the bed, no mini fridge so if you want left overs it better not need to be refrigerated. No tv(which I could live without but at that price I would expect a tv). The room is so incredibly basic. The only great thing about it is the view of the lake.
Now to address the food. It was so insanely over priced and everything is A la carte. Burger was 20$ with no fries available. The NY strip was 43$ and no sides. Not sure where they are getting these prices but they were a bit ridiculous. I will say the food was decent tasting but out of all the meals we had while we were in sisters, the lodge food was the least favorite.
Also the rental prices for the kayaks were unreasonable. 80$ for 2 people for 2 hours.
I want to say though, we had a decent experience here. Mel and Cavin were both very friendly bartenders and the lake was very pretty. Also the dog friendly environment was a blast. So many lovely doggos everywhere. But overall not worth what it cost to stay.

My husband and I stayed at Suttle Lodge for six nights in a premier cabin. It was well appointed and linens and bed were very comfortable. Plenty of room to cook and entertain when our local friends came to visit. The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed kayaks and the wonderful 4 mile path around the lake. There was also a good variety of casual dining at The Boathouse and more upscale, delicious dinner options at the Lodge. We also enjoyed the variety of nightly activities and live music. The Lodge also offers wi-fi and a place to work , a variety of games, and an enjoyable atmosphere for a cocktail and music. ||Seemed to be dog and family friendly.
