This quaint winery is high on the ridge and sports a phenomenal view. Rob is extremely knowledgeable and answered my every question. Visited as part of the Umpqua Harvest Tour and the nibbles they provided included fresh house made goat cheese. The Port was my favorite of the wine samplings. Don't miss this intimate winery experience.
We were lucky enough to stay here for part of our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. The owners were super friendly and helpful and the accommodations were lovely. Also one of the best wine tasting experiences we've had and getting to hear about the process and art of winemaking right on the vineyard was really special. Plus we got to play with some baby goats which was really fun:) Overall, can't recommend staying at Whitetail Ridge enough. We left with fond memories, many cases of wine, and plans to return.

We stayed for two nights at the Whitetail Ridge Cottage - a convenient 15-minute drive to downtown Roseburg - and could not have enjoyed it more. Outside, the views are simply spectacular - vineyards, valleys, mountains - with a large deck to soak it all in. Inside, a quaint and cozy space with every amenity provided - the very smallest of details have been considered. For a smaller space, we still felt like we had plenty of room. The bed in the loft is super comfortable, and the upstairs space has everything you need from bedside tables, lamps, and phone chargers. We were treated to an intimate wine tasting, where we sampled many of their unique and delicious varietals. Rob and Tammy's knowledge and commitment to the wine making process and to their vineyards is evident - their hospitality is first class. We truly loved staying at the Whitetail Ridge Cottage and look forward to staying again. We highly recommend it - you won't be disappointed!

Well described accommodations in a terrific and tranquil setting. Warm and generous hosts, Tammy and Rob pampered us with milk, soap and delicious cheese from their goats. We relaxed and enjoyed the informative wine tasting with superb wines. An above and beyond experience! Thank you Tammy and Rob!

It was late afternoon when we contacted Rob at Whitetail Ridge Vineyards seeking a tasting. The two mile trek up the gravel road to the 1400 foot elevation ridge left us wondering what lay ahead but we were very happy we made the journey.
Rob invited us in for a private tasting complete with complementary charcuterie including his wife’s home-produced goat cheese (delicious)and regaled us with the history of their vineyard and the 14 varieties of grapes they have cultivated. We enjoyed a generous sampling of many wines while Rob provided very informative and interesting details of wine production previously unknown to us. The spectacular view of the valley below was only exceeded by the delightful flavors of the wines, many of which we chose to take with us at a very reasonable price. Take the ride, you won’t regret it.
