This is a super casual place that suits all cool people and especially of you like all kinds of music. Thanks for not changing much and encouraging local music.

We had mixed feelings about this pub/restaurant.
It is an old and historic building with amazing atmosphere and vibe.
The food was just okay specially the brisket was not that great.
The service was just basic

My favorite bar of all time. Play pool, perfect atmosphere to catch up with a friend. Live music here is a vibe. Trivia on Tuesdays.
The food is great. The drinks are well balanced and reasonably priced. It's decorated with beautiful old wood with an academia meets jazz atmosphere. It's almost always busy with good reason. Parking is hard to get.
This is a bar, so it's not kid friendly. The building is old, and not very accessible.

Awesome place to play pool! The upstairs area is entirely dedicated to housing the 3 relatively well-maintained/groomed pool tables. 75 cents per game, just in case you're curious.
As far as the rest of, "what makes a bar good"... I can only speak to my own expense and opinion (obviously), but, in the short amount of time I've been frequenting this joint; I've been quite satisfied with the "atmospheric" elements. That is to say, it's a chill atmosphere with a polite & diligent staff that have yet to do or say anything to offend me. The typical crowd here? Well, it's Pullman. WSU & U of I right next door to one another. That is to say, and perhaps this is just my Old-Man Energy talking, but I calls 'em as I see's 'em, it's 90%+ silly College kids occupying the joint an any given night I've been here. So, while those days are long behind me at this point, I will say that despite they silly drunken antics; the "College Kids" are entirely tolerable, if not my cup-'o-tea.
So there it is. My overly-articulated, yet still entirely subjective review of "Rico's".
Rico's Public House (Owner):
I was gonna shout out the classic Ms Pac Man arcade tower but were I to, I'd have to mention the *well-worn* joystick. I have yet to test it out in any official sense, but I can tell just by jiggling it. Granted, it's at least 30 years old at this point (I'm guessing).

Great option to visit a local and traditional place. They being in Pullman since 1909.
Local is beautifully decorated with wood floors, wood walls, books and antique artifacts. Ambiance is calm and kind of elegant because the low light.
They offer a great beverages menu and the food is tasty and fresh. I had the fish and chips; the fish was perfect, so crunchy outside and soft inside.
Definitely recommended if you are visiting Pullman.
