My stuffed jalapeños burger was out of this world. Juicy, delicious, and everything a man could want. My wife's mac was pretty trash. Not sure what happened. She took two bites and tossed it. Beer was cold, so that was cool. The server (Leticia P) pretty much ignored us the entire time. Not sure if she was having a bad day, or if she's just awful. Nobody in the entire place smiled even once. Seems like a pretty crappy place to work. I would hate coming to work in such a bad atmosphere. Hope things turn around for this crew. Nobody deserves to work in such a negative environment.

Wild Winds Station is a great place to stop and eat. My wife and I took a lunch break here on our way from Central Washington to Sacramento, CA. She enjoyed a fabulous Ruben (equal to the best we ever had) with waffle cut sweet potato fries (the best ever). The pulled pork sandwich I had was definitely the best I have devoured. The meat was moist, tender and wonderfully flavored with a sweet, tangy BBQ sauce that was not overpowering to the natural aroma and flavors of the pork and the tangy coleslaw garnish set off a flavor explosion and delightful crunch that blended well with the toasted bun. I also devoured with gusto the waffle cut sweet potato fries.

We ate here twice while visiting Madras recently. When I first saw the exterior I wasn't expecting much beyond standard quality bar food. My assumptions were wrong! The chili burger was one of the best I've ever had. The burger itself had a good grilled flavor that wasn't overwhelmed by the chili, and the chili was a great mix of tender beans and beef, nicely seasoned, not too spicy. The french fries were exceptional.
On our second visit I had a fantastic BLT with a cup of excellent beef vegetable barley soup. The soup was loaded with tender pieces of beef, and a generous amount of barley and vegetables. The BLT had a good quantity of crisp thin bacon, and a nice balance of lettuce and tomato. My husband was impressed by the quality of the French Dip sandwich he had.
We'll definitely eat at Wild Winds Station again when we visit Madras.

Cool little bar/restaurant in Madras. Looks to be a local hangout for a cold beer and really good food. Brittany our waitress was great and was helping several customers at once without a hiccup. The outside of the building doesn't do what's going on inside any justice. This place is cool!

Stopped for dinner on our road-trip to the Painted Hills due to the reviews. Don’t let the outside of the building fool you, this place is nice and the food was delicious. The Reuben was juicy and will give Goose Hollow Inn’s “world’s best Reuben” a run for its money. ? Also they have plenty of options for vegetarians too.
