Bought a Summer Ale that was undrinkable. I've been trying to like their beer for about 10 years now and it's never been good. All their beers taste like home brew with lousy sanitation control. Every year I try at least one of their beers at Deutchesfest, it's never been good, and I keep waiting to leave a negative review because I really want them to make good beer but after so many years of dismal results I have to leave a review.

The wait for 1 sandwich meal was around 40 minutes even though there was only 3 other tables so not very busy and the food was kinda dissapointing. My fries were really burnt and gross and i did end up getting sick and throwing up after. Best bet is to look for somewhere in redmond. The pics on this place were really misleading.

My first time here at The Waterhole, and it has been a fantastic experience! I ordered the sweet potato breakfast special with a Bloody Mary, and both are delicious! The atmosphere is very clean, with excellent service, great music and lighting! Highly recommend this Prineville gem!

Took my daughter and her friend to dinner here recently during a visit to town. It was busy, make a reservation in advance (as we did). We were seated right away because we had a reservation. Parking can be a bit tough with construction in the area but we found a free parking spot just a short walk away. The food and drink were delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. Prices are a bit higher than other establishments nearby but fair for what you get.

I am 64, got kicked out and served no trespassing papers because a fat woman would not quit yelling at another woman at our table, the last 23 minutes I was there I was standing closer to the stage videoing the comedian, proof I was not involved in the argument. I will never spend another dime there, the service was lousy anyway.

Been coming to Black Butte for 40+ years, let me start with that. Never had a bad meal or service previously, and always enjoyed the million dollar view of the cascade peaks in the distance. This Friday my wife and I took our son, his wife and our two grandchildren to celebrate a wonderful week spent together enjoying one of our favorite places. Everything started off fine, friendly greetings, decent table with views, etc. the waiter seemed a bit busy but we were happy and tolerant, and he finally took our drink order. We had enough time to know what we wanted to eat but he scooted away for our drinks and didn’t ask if we were ready to order as he should have. We eventually placed our orders and the grandkids were starting to get impatient. Our salads arrived so we shared bread and salad and we were hanging in there. The waiter started apologizing for the slow kitchen, using a new menu as an excuse. I personally was quite tolerant of the delay because our grandkids were extraordinarily sweet and many patrons complimented us on how cute they were. Two things happened that changed my rating from 3-4 star to one star. First, a table of 4 people who came in at least 30 minutes after we were seated, got up and left after being served, paid up, everything. I had not yet been served my main course yet. Secondly, when we received our bill, we were automatically charged a large party gratuity even though we were 4 adults and two toddlers. It had taken 80 minutes to get our main course and a party arriving long after us was served and left before we were served. A tip, quite honestly was not in order. At this point, I doubt I’ll ever go to the lodge for dinner again. After complaining to the manager on duty this evening, I never got a succinct explanation how a similar size party comes in 30 minutes after you and leaves 45 minutes before you can finish your meal. Ok, first I wanna say that every time I have gone here for dinner it has been absolutely amazing!! Always hot and a heaping amount of fries!! Tonight was a complete different story. They told me it would be 30 minutes for my dinner, that’s fine I don’t mind waiting for amazing food! It turned out to be 50 minutes and I got it to go. I live two blocks form the truck and when I sat down for my meal it was cold!! And usually they fill the bottom of the Togo box with fries, nope a half a hand full. Sad day, was looking forward to this all day, even told my coworkers about this please.

The bar and restaurant were clean, but could use some newer flooring in one area. It has a great seating arrangement with covered/shaded tables outside giving some privacy in dining and drinking. The bar and dining are in one great room with two pool tables and tvs with good viewing. Menu has good variety and pricing. I would definately come here again due to the delicious broasted chicken and friendly, quick service.

was a nice place and great for family, nice atmosphere especially if you're into wildlife has quite a bit of cool things hanging around, something to look and enjoy for adults and kids, food was nice, ordered new York steak, with fries on side and another side onion rings and ice tea, served by Rosario she was helpful with ordering food and drinks, they have a good size adults drinks with alcohol and quite a bit of TV for lots of sports and stuff, steak was great the chef was Travis he was awesome came out asked how I wanted it done and had a great personality also and appreciated the food.
