From the moment you step into Spire Mountain Cellars, you're not just a guest, you're part of a story – a story woven with passion, expertise, and the most delightful Pinot Noir. The heart and soul of this winery is its owner and winemaker, Kevin. His warmth is infectious; he knows no strangers, only friends yet to be made. Each visit is a continuation of a conversation, as if you're picking up right where you left off. Kevin's talent in winemaking is only surpassed by his ability to remember details about his guests, making each experience deeply personal and memorable. Delving into the art of winemaking with Kevin is an experience in itself. His descriptions of the wines are not just informative but also a journey through the rich flavors and unique characteristics of each bottle. It's his passion that turns wine tasting here into an educational and enjoyable adventure. The venue itself is a rustic haven, seemingly plucked out of a Hallmark movie. It's cozy and authentic, with a charming vineyard cat, Stryker, who adds to the winery's character, making friends with guests as he roams the picturesque grounds. Among the array of wines, the Pinot Noir stands out – it's not just good, it's exceptional. While every harvest brings something special, there are a few that are truly remarkable, capturing the essence of the region and the expertise of the winemaker. In conclusion, Spire Mountain Cellars is more than just a winery; it's a place where wine, warmth, and wonderful memories blend seamlessly. Whether you're a wine aficionado or a casual taster, this hidden gem in the heart of wine country is a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone seeking great wine and even greater company.

While passing through town, I had a chance to visit the Wine Destination, where I was made to feel very welcome by one of the owners (Sarah, pictured with me below) who, with her husband Keith, have created a lovely place to shop for wine, or to simply sit down (as I did) and have a glass. Everything is clean, spacious, and nicely arranged, complete with a back room that is very nicely arranged for private meetings. Though a stranger to the area, I quickly found myself engaged in delightful conversations with other customers despite having just met them. and this was quite enjoyable! Bottom line, I look forward to returning in the future. Thanks Sarah & Kevin for setting up such a gem :-)

No doubt this is a top brewery in Washington State. For that reason they fly under the radar, with an impressive selection of brews in a fun and inviting space with multiple rooms and a cool outdoor area. Every time we come back there is a selection of interesting new beers to pique our taste.

The kind of brewery a city can rally around. Been to the Seattle taproom many times. Love the beer, love the vibe. Coming here to essentially Yakima HQ is a breath of fresh air, even on a cold winter night. The pizza served was fantastic. The bartenders were loquacious and eager to share details on their beer.

Yes, this is a bit of a local dive bar. I came for taco Tuesday. I ordered 3 fish tacos and a Cajun shrimp taco. Let's start by saying these are not your typical sized fish tacos. They are about double the size of most fish tacos I have eaten. So I ordered a bit more than I should have. The fish tacos had good flavors along with the salsa. The Cajun shrimp tasted a bit over breaded and had little Cajun flavor. I would definitely order the fish tacos again. Typical older bar crowd. Seemed very busy that night. The waitress was a bit overwhelmed. If you are looking for a good bargain on eating out on Tuesday in Redmond. Timbers is the place to be.

This was a chance to try the local food in downtown Redmond. I like this restaurant quite a bit. The staff and atmosphere were very up beat. I ordered the cheese burger soup to try something different. Although it could have been flavorful, it turned out to be kind of flavorless. A little smoked salt might have saved it. The Chicken sandwich on the other hand was a great balance of flavors including the toasted bun. It was cooked perfectly. Overall I would probably come back to try something new next time I am in town.

Food is on point. Absolutely an excellent surprise. Reading other reviews I expected acceptable food and possibly marginal service. Wrong. Very friendly and prompt service on a reasonably quiet Friday night. Bartender gave me her suggestions. Brussel sprouts and clam chowder are my go to if a place has them, and an even platform for reviews on my travels. Sprouts a tad different than I have had but would eat them every day. Very tasty. Chowder I was very happy with and teased my sons as they enjoy it as much as I do. Don't hesitate. It's a gem that should not be missed.

It's very nice except for not enough exit rows. They need to make all sides exit. We had to get up 10 times to let people in and out, when removing the 3 ft board on the end of the row could have eliminated the issue. Hopefully it will removed soon in the future.
